In-Patient Hospice
PEACHTREE CHRISTIAN HOSPICE
Peachtree Christian Hospice is a 16-bed non-residential inpatient hospice facility situated on 8.7 peaceful acres in the Duluth area of Gwinnett County near I-85.
Our facility opened in October of 2000. We are committed to serve the physical, social and spiritual needs of patients facing a life limiting illness, and those they love. Our focus is on providing quality compassionate care that promotes the comfort and dignity of both patients and those they love when short-term intensive palliative care is needed.
Purpose
Our purpose is to provide loving and compassionate care for terminally ill patients who find themselves in need of a more intensive level of palliative care. The goal is to provide short-term comprehensive and intensive interventions that will stabilize the patient, and make it possible for them to return to their home/familiar setting and continue routine hospice care.
Facility
Family members and loved ones will be able to comfort patients in a beautiful setting with patient rooms that give the feeling of being at home. Families and love ones will also have their own space to reflect, visit and share their feelings, as well as be comforted with bereavement support.
Staff
A professional caring staff will be available 24 hours a day seven days a week. The hospice team consists of a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, social workers, ministers, nursing assistants, pharmacists, dieticians, therapists and trained volunteers. Together the team will plan an individual program of care for each patient and family. Care designed to relieve the physical, emotional and spiritual pain. What is In-patient Hospice?
Hospice inpatient care is a short-term acute palliative level of intervention for hospice patients that attempts to resolve acute episodes, allowing patients to return to their home/familiar setting, and continue with routine hospice care.
